We're so excited for our Summer on Mackinac Island!  The weather is finally starting to be a little bit nicer, with sunny skies and puffy white clouds! We are excited to welcome in another great season on the island. Here is our Summer Bucket List! 1.Bike Around Mackinac Island. Our goal is to bike around Mackinac as often as possible! 2. Tahquamenon Falls State Park has almost 50,000 acres, over 13 miles. Did you know that the Upper Falls is one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi. It has a drop of nearly 50 feet and is more than 200 feet across. A maximum flow of more than 50,000 gallons of water per second has been recorded cascading over these falls. Have you ever wondered what the Straits of Mackinac looks like during the winter season? Here are some shots from the winter boat this past week.  During the winter, the Mighty Huron boat, aka 'Slow Boat' goes across the Straits of Mackinac from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island. Since it’s slightly shorter from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island, the boat just runs from St. Ignace from November 1st and not from Mackinaw City.
