WILDERNESS STATE PARK MACKINAW CITY, MICHIGAN

Wilderness State Park

Wilderness State Park offers some of the best views in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan. The white sandy beach stretches as far as the eye can see and the water is perfect for swimming. This campground offers multiple camp sites right on the lake, so you can wake up and lake! There are numerous hiking/biking trails at the park that go for miles. A short drive from Mackinaw City or to the quant town of Cross Village where the historic Legs Inn restaurant is for a night away. A hidden treasure that is about a mile west of the park is a small party store that serves fresh made doughnuts every morning. Ride your bike from the park and enjoy the best doughnut in the north!
